WAMA Professional Development Event in cooperation with the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) – 24th June 2025
Topic: “U.S. National Security Policy in a moment of transition”
U.S. national security policy is in a moment of transition as the second Trump administration approaches 6 months in office. Policy decisions are impacting strategic defense priorities and military posture, approaches to development and humanitarian aid, counterterrorism and homeland security initiatives, engagement with allies and partners, and intelligence community dynamics. A panel of experts from the Center for a New American Security, a bipartisan national security think tank, will discuss unfolding policy and legislative actions and implications for the United States, allies and partners, and potential adversaries.
